Online Consultation of the Catalogues

The catalogue of books and dissertations preserved in the Archive is part of the Cineteca library’s online catalogue, while the catalogue of audiovisual documents is included in the database consultable through the online film booking service.

The Locations

Within the Cineteca’s library, a reading and consultation room houses all the Pasolini Archive’s printed documents, from press cuttings to dossiers, including theses, books and magazine collections. The photographs are preserved within the Photo Archive, also within the library, on the first floor. The audio and audiovisual documents – on VHS or DVD – are located within the library’s Audiovisual Section, also on the first floor.

Creation of a Single Database

In spring 2004 work began on compiling a computer database for all the iconographic, audio and audiovisual material of the Pasolini Archive and for the descriptions of the card index organized by Laura Betti for the Pier Paolo Pasolini Association of Rome. The aim is to unite the international critical bibliography with the journalistic publications in a single tool. The unfinished database can be consulted at the Cineteca library by appointment.
